Tired of Hiding

I had a visitor today. My husband says he was probably tired of hiding and looking for a place to rest and relax since it's hunting season.

Deer seem to find me everywhere I go. I think he feels safe here because he is...

  3. Maybe Deer is your animal guide? What a lovely post, makes me very sad to feel such beautiful creatures are hunted, I'm so happy that he has found sanctuary with you x

  4. wow, what a visitor. reminds me of a tv programme I watched about a deer who was taken in by a woman on an island off Vancouver. the woman's great dane mothered her while she was a fawn, and then she went back to the wild, but she comes to their garden every year to give birth to her fawns.

  5. I hate hunting season. I know it has its purposes, but I hate the idea of deer or any animal running in fear. It's good to know this deer is in a safe place. Perhaps he can catch his breath and live another day.

Your comment about deer being in your life was interesting. What appears in my life are spiders. I know that sounds strange, but they have appeared to me at very significant life changing times. I've come to appreciate them. Perhaps it's the same for you with deer:~)

    1. I agree... I'm not an advocate of fear for any creature.

I encounter spiders a lot too...however, I prefer dear! Haha

  6. Aw. :( This is so meaningful. Just in the pictures his fear can be seen. I hate hunting season because I don't feel that hunters truly care about the animal - it's just game to them! And it's frustrating, and they often say it's the same as killing cows for meat, but it's not because the cows aren't terrified of splitting up their families. They don't run in fear.

Idk. I'm one of those "I'm-not-eating-Bambi" people. :x
